<p>Apply</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Join our team as a Summer Resident Assistant, playing a crucial role in fostering a positive and supportive living environment for residents during the summer. This position involves conducting daily building walkthroughs, addressing resident concerns, and contributing to a vibrant and inclusive community atmosphere. In exchange for your service, you will receive free housing for the duration of the summer.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li>Daily Building Walkthrough: </li></ol> <p>? Perform a thorough daily walkthrough of the residential facility to identify and report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or policy violations.</p> <p>? Ensure common areas are well-maintained and report any cleaning or maintenance needs.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Administrative Tasks: </li></ol> <p>? Check-in with Missy once a week during the summer</p> <p>? Check-in with the AC-on-call once a week during the summer</p> <p>? Maintain an understanding of all residents on-campus</p> <p>? Work directly with Missy to coordinate check-ins and check-outs as needed</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Resident Interaction: </li></ol> <p>? Serve as a point of contact for summer residents, addressing inquiries, concerns, and fostering a positive community atmosphere.</p> <p>? Submit facility requests as they arise</p> <p>? Promote adherence to community guidelines and policies. Reporting issues as</p> <p>they arise to Campus Safety.</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Emergency Response: </li></ol> <p>? Be familiar with and follow emergency procedures, serving as a resource during crisis situations.</p> <p>? Communicate effectively with residents in emergencies and collaborate with campus security or emergency services as needed.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>? Currently enrolled at GU.</p> <p>? Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</p> <p>? Ability to handle conflicts diplomatically.</p> <p>? Responsible, reliable, and committed to the well-being of the residential community</p>
