<p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Report to site at least 30 minutes prior to first scheduled game each Saturday</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise fields used by Appleton Parks and Recreation at USA Youth Sports Complex</p> </li><li> <p>Be a check in point for all soccer staff</p> </li><li> <p>Set up all equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Hand out balls, staff binders, and any other needed equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a safe playing atmosphere and environment</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor condition of equipment, recommending replacement when needed</p> </li><li> <p>Complete facility check sheet</p> </li><li> <p>Complete accident report forms for any injury requiring treatment</p> </li><li> <p>At the conclusion of the games drop off the following at the designated site:</p> </li><li> <p>score sheets</p> </li><li> <p>pay sheets</p> </li><li> <p>facility check sheet</p> </li><li> <p>accident report forms, if any</p> </li><li> <p>Return and secure equipment and supplies to equipment bins at the completion of the games</p> </li><li> <p>Hand out end of season awards to coaches</p> </li><li> <p>Keep cellular phone in proper operating mode</p> </li><li> <p>Report vandalism, damaged equipment, or building faults to Program Coordinator</p> </li></ul> <p>OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Assist Program Coordinator with office tasks prior to the season including copying, computer work, assembling binders and packets, and attending meetings </li><li>Assist Program Coordinator with staff evaluations </li><li>Monitor facility, equipment, participants, and staff </li><li>Shall wear Parks and Recreation staff uniform per the City of Appleton dress code </li><li>Sign own name on the results/pay sheet for hours worked </li><li>Provide a central reference point for all site and program related inquiries by the public and participants </li><li>Manage spectator environment and call police if necessary </li><li>Maintain First Aid equipment at the site </li><li>Knowledge of the sport, set-up, and equipment needs </li><li>Ability to effectively supervise program participants </li><li>Ability to effectively carry out oral and written instructions </li><li>Ability to supervise and maintain control of all "off field" situations </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow staff members and the public in a courteous and tactful manner </li><li>Work closely with Parks & Recreation to ensure all department rules and policies are observed </li><li>Adhere to City of Appleton and Departmental policies and procedures </li></ul> <p>Employment Season:  August (Training) and Saturdays from Sept. 12 - Oct. 24</p> <p> Work location: Various facilities</p> <p> Pay Grade: 4</p> <p> Education Level Required:  High School Graduate/GED</p> <p>Pay Grade 4: $17.88- $19.97 per hour</p>
