<p>Structural Welder</p> <p>Basic Scope/Purpose</p> <p>Raises, places, and unites beams, columns, and other structural steel members to form completed structures or structure frameworks, working as member of crew.</p> <p>Essential Functions/Duties</p> <p>To perform job functions required and assigned in the fabrication of structural materials per the contract/job specifications and quality assurance requirements/fitting procedures and established ISO/QC program standards. The Welder's job duties are to properly weld structure</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Set and operate welding machine for applicable welding processes. </li><li>Perform welding processes assigned for structural welding projects. </li><li>Pass required welding test per AWS D1.1 latest edition, ASME section IX, and API 1104. </li><li>Maintain quality of welding that can pass NDT testing procedures. </li><li>Perform welding assignments safely and efficiently, always practicing safety. </li><li>Operate appropriate hand tools (chipping hammers, grinders, etc.) </li><li>Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, carbon steel, and other alloys. </li><li>Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux according to welding chart specifications or any thickness of metals. </li><li>Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of welding techniques. </li><li>Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure to obtain desired flames. </li><li>Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking distortion, or expansion of the material. </li><li>Expertly welds small, medium, and large structural and pipes of various metals and alloys. </li><li>Expertly welds small, medium, and large structural items. </li><li>Transport welding equipment in the yard to the work area. </li></ul> <p>Benefits Offered:</p> <ul> <li>Nothing in this job description restricts the Company's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. </li></ul> <p>Century Contractors offer our employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package and are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.</p> <p>We are an equal opportunity employer.
