Our workplace culture promotes wellness, second-chance hiring, and recovery-informed policies that reflect our mission to serve Ohioans with compassion and respect, both in the community and within our own team.</p> <p>What you'll do at DBH:</p> <p>As a Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare Psychiatric Nurse Coordinator/Educator you will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direction for clinical education and development for nursing and direct care staff, and for the assessment of patient status/needs </li><li>Provides clinical direction and acts as a lead worker over lower-level RNs, LPNs, and therapeutic program workers </li><li>Educates clinical staff and leads the assessment and evaluation of nursing needs and performance </li><li>Prepares and reviews records and reports (incidents, nursing care plans, shift reports, admissions, discharges, etc) </li><li>Obtains and maintains proper certifications to teach clinical staff in hospital programs (BLS, AEGIS, EPIC, etc) </li><li>Coordinates and facilitates onboarding and training of new nursing staff </li><li>Tracks and coordinates continuing educational needs and recertifications off all nursing and direct care personnel. </li><li>Facilitates training for clinical staff on EPIC electronic health records software </li><li>Provides/Demonstrates patient care </li><li>Serves as an interdisciplinary treatment team member </li><li>Attends, conducts, and participates in in-service training sessions, meetings, and conferences </li><li>Meets with and counsels patients and their families. </li></ul> <p>This position requires extensive knowledge of professional nursing procedures, psychiatric nursing, employee development and training, as well as state and federal regulations, policies, and procedures.</p> <p>This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 14 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 Pay Range Schedule.
