<p>Start Date: 2025-2026 School Year</p> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 2:43pm</p> <p>Pay Rate: In accordance with the D.T.A. Salary Schedule</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree or higher degree related to the subject matter and skills to be taught </li><li>Four years of full-time employment experience directly related to dental assisting </li><li>Possession of current dental assisting certification </li><li>The required associate's degree or higher degree would include at least 18 credits in subject matter related to the technical strand of the Vocational Technical Education Framework in dental assisting. A person with an associate or higher degree without 18 credits in such subject matter must obtain 18 college credits in order to receive credit toward the licensure requirements for the required bachelor's or higher degree related to the subject matter and skills to be taught. </li><li>A bachelor's degree may substitute for one of four years of required employment experience, provided that the degree includes subject matter related to the Technical Knowledge and Skills strand (Strand 2) of the Vocational Technical Education Framework in Dental Assisting*, and/or in vocational education. </li><li>A master's degree may substitute for one of the four years of required employment experience, provided that the degree includes subject matter related to the Technical Knowledge and Skills strand (Strand 2) of the Vocational Technical Education Framework in Dental Assisting*, and/or in vocational education. </li><li>Instruction will be in accordance with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Vocational Technical Education Frameworks for Dental Assisting. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements/Handling and Moving Objects- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and manipulating objects.</p> <p>Object Handling Categories: Work requires the ability to lift/carry objects routinely as follows:</p> <p>Light Lifting: No lifting of objects weighing more than 15 pounds on a regular basis</p> <p>Other Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Work requires the ability to stand up to two or more hours at a time. </li><li>Work requires the ability to stoop, bend, reach, and grab with arms and hands, manual dexterity </li><li>Work requires sufficient auditory and visual acuity to interact with others. </li></ul> <p>Evaluation: Evaluated in accordance with the DESE Standards and Indicators of Effective</p> <p>Teaching Practice and the current Diman Regional Teachers' Association Contract.</p> <p>Applicants applying for the position must have a preliminary or professional Chapter 74 license, or be able to obtain a waiver.</p>
