<p>Medical Assistant</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our busy clinic. This role is essential in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care while supporting both clinical and front-office operations in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Accurately collect and document patient demographics and medical histories </li><li>Triage patients based on presenting symptoms and urgency of care needs </li><li>Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and oxygen levels </li><li>Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) </li><li>Perform phlebotomy and other clinical procedures as required </li><li>Provide patient education, instructions, and support </li><li>Schedule appointments and assist with front desk operations as needed </li><li>Verify insurance information and ensure accurate documentation for billing purposes </li><li>Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced clinic or urgent care environment </li><li>Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems </li><li>Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and clinical workflows </li><li>Excellent customer service and communication skills </li></ul> <p>Additional Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Medical Assistant Certification, Registration, or Diploma </li><li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>Reliable transportation </li><li>Experience with appointment scheduling and patient care coordination </li></ul> <p>Preferred (Not Required)</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual (English/Spanish a plus) </li><li>Experience with spirometry testing & phlebotomy </li><li>BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred </li></ul> <p>Work Environment & Schedule</p> <ul> <li>Onsite position at a primary care/urgent care clinic </li><li>Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with potential for overtime </li><li>May require floating to other clinic locations based on operational needs </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winter Haven, FL.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
