<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Receiving Clerk efficiently manages incoming shipments, verifies contents, inspects for damages, and maintains accurate records to support warehouse operations. Makes system updates as necessary.</p> <p>Primary Duties</p> <ul> <li>Receive incoming shipments of goods and materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness by verifying against purchase orders and other relevant documentation. </li><li>Inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies, recording findings and promptly reporting any issues to the appropriate parties. </li><li>Coordinate and prepare items for quality inspection, assisting in conducting necessary inspections or audits as required. </li><li>Maintain systematic filing and organization of documents to ensure easy access and retrieval as needed. </li><li>Collaborate with and direct material handlers to ensure efficient and safe movement of goods and materials within the warehouse, prioritizing tasks based on operational needs. </li><li>Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to unload and move shipments as needed, while performing routine maintenance checks and promptly reporting any issues. </li><li>Restocking products and materials and keeping area clean and organized. </li><li>Use of handheld scanners or other technology to ensure correct items are accounted for. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Ability to accurately verify shipments against purchase orders and other documentation. </li><li>Basic math skills for inventory counts and order verification. </li><li>Proficiency in using handheld scanners and warehouse management software and MS Office suite of products. </li><li>Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors, carriers, and internal teams. </li><li>Knowledge of and commitment to warehouse safety practices and procedures. </li><li>Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. </li><li>Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate.
