Our commitment to employee growth and development is demonstrated through our offering of facilitated courses and certificate programs and our investment in resources that enable self-paced learning.</p> <p>The Role at a Glance</p> <p>The Senior Director, Sales, Retail and Ecommerce leads and drives overall growth for Ecommerce resellers, stores, and partners within the Retail and eCommerce channels in Brother's Business Machines Group (BMG), which spans printing, copying, labeling, and fax. This role oversees a $100M+ revenue budget responsibility and leads a team of sales professionals across various Retail and Ecommerce sales channels. Additionally, this role has the ultimate responsibility for all sales functions within a division and develops and implements sales strategies and policies that help the division meet its revenue and profit goals.</p> <p>Key Duties & Responsibilities</p> <p>B2C Sales Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Oversee a significant revenue budget responsibility, driving success and growth throughout the Retail and eCommerce team </li><li>Lead the day-to-day activities of the Retail and Ecommerce sales team, developing opportunities nationwide; manage daily communications and ensure team success </li><li>Build a strong team through ongoing feedback, support, and guidance with the goal of facilitating both business and personal growth; set realistic goals and establish expectations; help team members improve sales and work quality </li><li>Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally, leading across the organization on key initiatives </li><li>Develop, review, monitor, and enforce policies, practices, and procedures that impact the organization </li><li>Consistently contribute strategic ideas and feedback to executive team </li><li>Meet and exceed customer expectations and demands </li></ul> <p>Sales Strategy Development</p> <ul> <li>Develop the overall sales strategy for the Retail and Ecommerce sales force, ensuring corporate financial goals are met or exceeded </li><li>Spearhead new business opportunities and utilize creativity to grow the business in a declining market </li><li>Analyze business trends and understand the customer base, both regionally and nationally, to support effective strategy development </li><li>Study historical sales data, establish sales quotas, and plan future sales targets </li><li>Stay current on industry news and changes as well as competitive models and features </li><li>Track actual performance against expectations and modify strategies, territories, or incentive plans in response </li></ul> <p>Reporting, Budgeting, & Forecasting</p> <ul> <li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for various internal groups </li><li>Prepare and deliver presentations for various regional and global meetings </li><li>Lead team to manage product forecasting & supply chain activity </li><li>Lead team to manage custom SKU requests as opportunities arrive </li></ul> <p>Key Experience & Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, or a related field </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>12+ years of experience: managing a large national sales function across multiple markets; developing and executing on robust sales strategies; meeting and exceeding multi-million dollar sales targets; leading and managing a team </li><li>3+ years of experience within the office supplies / consumer electronics industry </li></ul> <p>Software/Technical Skills</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System (Salesforce preferred) </li></ul> <p>Other Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Expert knowledge in all aspects of sales management, including but not limited to: forecasting, goal setting, team planning, account mapping, resource management, time management, selling to the relevant executive, conducting executive briefings </li><li>Strong resilience and an aptitude for crafting creative strategies to achieve business growth in a declining market </li><li>Strong ability to strategically analyze data, think and execute on long-term action plans </li><li>Excellent negotiation skills </li><li>Strong communication skills (written/verbal/interpersonal) and ability to build relationships internally and externally </li><li>Strong ability to deliver effective presentations at the executive level </li><li>Ability to lead, develop and mentor others </li><li>Expert knowledge of the office electronics industry - PREFERRED </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Schedule for This Role</p> <p>This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers. #LI-Hybrid</p> <ul> <li>The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $ 180,000 - $ 224,000 per year </li><li>Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data </li><li>This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). This location houses key corporate functions, including HR, legal, finance, IT, and supply chain, and a significant presence of our business unit leadership and marketing teams. Our manufacturing and distribution facility in Bartlett, TN spans an impressive 1.5 million square feet - equivalent to 26 football fields - and is located on Brother Boulevard. In addition to the distribution center operations team, this facility hosts several other departments, including our customer service group. Brother also has employees based in other locations, such as Westminster, CO, where many of our marketing and product engineering team members from the mobile solutions division operate, as well as our distribution centers in Richmond, VA and Perris, CA.
