<p>SUMMARY</p> <p>This position is responsible for all bookstore and supply store functions. Tasks include ordering and stocking inventory, entering and shipping orders in a timely manner, providing service for counter sales and all reporting for bookstore operations including sales, customer data and inventory data. In addition to answering telephone calls, the customer service representative is also responsible for replying to internet orders and inquiries in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for supply department support, operating the supply room during scheduled times and supporting all supply room functions.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Prepare Bookstore orders including entering in the computer, packing, shipping and invoicing </li><li>Respond to customer inquiries and orders </li><li>Cover the Bookstore desk and process counter purchases for walk-in customers </li><li>Keep the online bookstore items up to date and make suggestions for improvements to the website for the online bookstore </li><li>Maintain reasonable inventory levels, re-order and stock inventory as needed, record inventory transactions and adjustments </li><li>Perform cycle counts of inventory </li><li>Print and mail monthly customer statements and follow up on collection of accounts </li><li>Perform cash reconciliations of cash drawers. Post checks and reconcile daily receipts </li><li>Prepare monthly sales reports </li><li>Gather materials for in house classes for instructor pickup </li><li>Assemble all guides and materials for shipment </li><li>Order packaging materials and supplies as needed </li><li>Assist in updating curriculum when needed </li><li>Operate the supply window for sales </li><li>Manage supply room inventory, order and stock items for supply room as needed based on inventory levels. Conduct cycle counts for inventoried products. </li><li>Manage and be accountable for supply room cash drawer, including cash reconciliations </li><li>Reconcile Purchase Orders for supply room </li><li>Build toolboxes for program students </li><li>Assist team in identifying new product offerings for sale (merchandise, logo apparel, etc.) </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>COMPETENCIES</p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication skills, verbal and written </li><li>Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy </li><li>Team player mentality and foster a teamwork atmosphere </li><li>Handles multiple assignments and priorities while fulfilling all commitments </li><li>Strong customer service mentality </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
