<p>Summary:</p> <p>The Payroll Administrator plays a critical role in supporting accurate and timely payroll operations across the organization. This position ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, while maintaining high standards for data accuracy and confidentiality. This role is detail-oriented, collaborative, and requires a strong understanding of payroll systems and processes. The Payroll Administrator works closely with employees, managers, and cross-functional teams to resolve payroll inquiries, manage documentation, and contribute to the department's goals for operational excellence and employee satisfaction. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, solutions-focused, and committed to continuous improvement in payroll practices and systems. The mission of this role is to support a seamless and compliant payroll process that upholds the organization's values and promotes trust with employees.</p> <p>Essential Duties:</p> <p>Payroll Processing & Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Assist with the preparation of biweekly and weekly payroll, following procedures and timelines defined by the Director of Payroll. </li><li>Process off-cycle payrolls, including PTO cash-outs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. </li><li>Review time and attendance records, including manager approvals and pending PTO reports, for completeness and accuracy. </li><li>Review and resolve payroll tax notices and update changes to payroll tax rates as required. </li><li>Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal payroll laws, including sick leave policies and wage garnishments. </li></ul> <p>Employee Support & Inquiry Resolution</p> <ul> <li>Research, analyze, and resolve payroll-related issues or questions from employees and internal teams in coordination with the payroll team. </li><li>Maintain a positive and professional relationship with employees by delivering high-quality payroll support and timely responses. </li></ul> <p>Documentation & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate payroll records including employee files (active and terminated), wage attachment documentation, and payroll vendor files. </li><li>Assist in the transition to electronic payroll filing systems to increase efficiency and data security. </li><li>Generate standard and custom payroll reports using Dayforce and other tools. </li><li>Track and update wage attachments and garnishments each payroll cycle using electronic systems. </li></ul> <p>Additional Duties: Tasks or duties not outlined in this job description may be required to contribute to the organization's success and efficiency.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Reasonable accommodation may be arranged to facilitate individuals with disabilities in fulfilling the essential duties of this role.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 2 years of related payroll experience. </li><li>Bachelor's degree a plus. </li><li>Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal payroll regulations and sick leave policies. </li><li>Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, interest, commissions, and proportions accurately. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, with the ability to create and manage spreadsheets and payroll documents. </li><li>Strong working knowledge of HRIS or payrolls systems required. </li><li>Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred but not required. </li></ul>
