<p>Nature of Work</p> <p>This position will perform the following duties:</p> <ul> <li>Audit a variety of telecommunication invoices using Microsoft Excel with Pivot tables, MS Access Databases, and CRM. Knowledge of these programs is essential to the job. With the use of these, you will produce a file to be used to break out the various state agencies individual accounts to be billed back by uploading the file into the IT Financial Management System to produce monthly invoices. Maintain a record of disputes to be sent to the vendors each month and track the progress of the disputes to discuss and resolve during vendor meetings. Prepare for OT backup for the payment of the vendor invoices that is required for payment through the WV Auditor's Office. </li><li>To gain necessary knowledge-review the various statewide telecommunication contracts for both the billing audits and to answer billing questions and disputes. </li><li>Collaborate with the TCR section regarding TCRs submitted to compare with billing. </li><li>Know how to Prepare, update, and maintain Telecommunication Change Requests (TCR) for data and/or telephony services. This position will also serve as a backup for the TCR process. </li><li>Communicate with agencies and vendors through email, phone and face-to-face correspondence on billing questions, billing backup and disputes. Assist agencies as needed to ensure payments are received. </li><li>Attend meetings with or on behalf of the manager, as directed. </li><li>Answer telecommunications questions relating to statewide contracts and perform other administrative duties as assigned. </li><li>Update supervisor as needed on projects, including correspondence and any issues/proposed resolution provided by vendors, WVOT staff and/or customers. </li></ul> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <ul> <li>As a condition of employment, an inquiry into job-related information will be completed which may include, but not be limited to, criminal records, abuse registry records, driving records, employment history, and education and training. (2) Certification or registration as a Public Accountant in West Virginia may be substituted for the training and required experience.</p> <p>NOTE:At the appointing agency's discretion, competitive candidates may receive probationaryappointment pending official verification of the qualifying training or certification.
