<p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Self-Help Navigator assists the general public with court information, court forms, court procedures and provides direction to legal resources. This position serves as an essential part of ensuring access to justice when a court patron is not represented by an attorney. This position is located in the Michael J Sullivan Judicial Center.</p> <p>Work Schedule: Monday - Friday</p> <p>Work Hours: 8am - 12pm (20 hours a week)</p> <p>ESSENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Guides patrons to court forms and resources. </li><li>Instructs patrons on court procedures. </li><li>Provides court patrons with legal resources to aid in the filing of documents. </li><li>Compiles monthly reports of the Self Help Center's usage </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>6 months experience of dealing with the public is helpful. </li><li>Prior paralegal experience is preferred. </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <ul> <li>Pension- Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) </li><li>Paid vacation, sick, personal days and 13 Holidays </li></ul> <p>Must be able to successfully pass a background screening.</p> <p>McHenry County is an equal opportunity employer.
