Monitors the yard area to ensure a clean and organized operation that meets safety guidelines and procedures.</p> <p>Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Monitors the yard to ensure it is staffed to accommodate business needs. Audits all required documentation, timesheets, checklists, receiving records and repair order and maintenance logs.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors the maintenance schedule and advises lead on any issues. Oversees the service, repair and/or rebuild of equipment as necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures all rental equipment is in good, useable condition before it goes out to the customer. Inspects all rental equipment for damage when it comes back from a customer and reports any damage according to established procedure.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs weekly and monthly equipment rental inventories to ensure appropriate equipment inventories.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors equipment rental transactions to track lost or stolen equipment, including filing police and insurance reports as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with opening and closing the rental yard, authorizes refunds, and handles customer issues. Oversees forklift maintenance and daily completion of pre-operation checklist.</p> </li><li> <p>Administers goals and training programs for associates, including safety training.</p> </li><li> <p>Removes dirt, concrete, or other debris from rental equipment. Ensures the rental area and equipment are cleaned on a regular basis.</p> </li></ul> <p>Nature and Scope</p> <ul> <li> <p>Problems are typically difficult and/or high-impact. Troubleshoot complex support or operational problems for junior-level associates.</p> </li><li> <p>Under limited supervision, independently resolves issues and applies a variety of methods to develop customized solutions. May lead the daily operations of a department or team. Work typically involves infrequent review of output by a supervisor or direct customers of the process.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with supervisory duties but does not have hiring/firing authority. Trains, delegates tasks, and reviews the work of junior-level associates.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li> <p>Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.</p> </li><li> <p>Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.</p> </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>A technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas.
