Check out why Rinnai is the hottest place to work?https://www.rinnai.us/about/why-rinnai.</p> <p>What does a Manager, Regulatory Affairs do at Rinnai?</p> <p>This position, Regulatory Affairs Manager, will provide an experienced regulatory individual to Rinnai America for helping us achieve our corporate mission statement of "Quality is our Destiny" in our current and future product portfolio. This position is responsible for tracking, managing, coordinating the affairs of the Regulatory Governmental Affairs Committee to aligned and influence the regulatory and related government environments within Rinnai America's footprint, including: gathering and prioritizing regulatory and related government issues, assisting in defining the appropriate response and strategy, and working closely with innovation, legal, sales, marketing and other company departments to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Manager - Regulatory Affairs also ensures that the initiatives support the company's overall strategy and goals. This role requires a comprehensive mix of talent and experiences to complement the expectations of maintaining and developing high quality products, applications, and solutions for the on 1st day of employment, 401k match, Paid Volunteer Community Service Day, and so much more. </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Maintaining a deep understanding of new and existing regulations that may impact organization's products & processes. </li><li>Using that understanding to assist in standardizing all business operations and establish clear, documented protocols. </li><li>Explain regulations, procedures, and policies to all employees and stakeholders as necessary. </li><li>Participate in associational memberships and governmental interactions. </li><li>Review marketing, legal, and technical documentation (including case files and clinical research reports) to assess compliance. </li><li>Recommend courses of remediation to help their company achieve the necessary levels of compliance. </li><li>Monitor, aggregate, and maintain issue, regulatory, and legislative logs and charts for use by the Regulatory Government Affairs ("RGA") Committee of the Company </li><li>Regularly reporting on compliance status and measures to both internal and external parties </li><li>Coordinate activities of company leadership and RGA Committee </li><li>Acting as a liaison between Company and state, local, federal, and international agencies, associations, and other organizations, as necessary </li><li>Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant government agencies, industry associations, and policy makers. </li><li>Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the hot water heater industry. </li><li>Represent the company in industry forums and participate in advocacy efforts to shape favorable policies. </li><li>Develop and implement advocacy strategies to positively influence regulatory and legislative outcomes. </li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to communicate the company's positions on key policy issues. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, engineering, and innovation/product development, to ensure a unified approach to regulatory compliance. </li><li>Provide guidance to internal teams on regulatory requirements affecting product design and development. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>KNOWLEDGE</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline </li><li>Minimum 4 years of experiences experience in an engineering/regulatory compliance discipline and product development expertise related to Rinnai's current and future product portfolio. </li><li>Must understand the intent of the regulations to wisely navigate the discrepancies that exist in the application of each set of regulations to combination products, to ensure the decisions work well throughout the lifecycle of the products and to set appropriate precedent for future products and projects. </li><li>Experience with AHRI and similar industry associations. </li><li>Experience with mechanical systems or water heating product design and application a plus </li><li>Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D software. </li><li>Experience developing products via New Product Development process (Stage Gate) </li><li>Open issues tracking to resolution. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Excellent attention to detail </li><li>Well-developed and thorough understanding of analytical analysis, problem-solving tools, and quality improvement tools and techniques </li><li>Proven experience in regulatory and product performance matters </li><li>Strong communication skills to educate personnel on compliance best practices. </li><li>Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Effective organizational abilities to effectively manage their time and work activities. </li><li>Strong analytical skills to evaluate potential risks and ways organizations can minimize them. </li><li>Able to use MS Office products to communicate quality data. </li><li>Can communicate effectively by using written and oral skills. </li><li>Participation in AHRI committees. </li><li>Participation in associational "Capitol Hill Days." </li></ul> <p>ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Ability to exercise appropriate discretion when
