<p>We are seeking a Senior Field Quality Engineer (Remote) to drive products, service, supplier, and customer quality across the region. This role leads cross-functional efforts to identify, resolve, and prevent quality issues, ensuring that Vertiv's Quality Management System (QMS) is effectively implemented and continuously improved. The incumbent will be a key point of contact for internal and external quality audits, customer claims, supplier quality, Service quality, and will report on quality performance to senior leadership</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Customer & Supplier Quality</p> <ul> <li>Deploy, train, and audit policies, standards, and procedures for all manufacturing sites, subcontractors (3rd parties), and service operations to ensure high product and service quality. </li><li>Collaborating within business leads to taking corrective actions in response to manufacturing or service issues. </li><li>Manage customer claims: coordination, root cause analysis, corrective / preventive actions. </li><li>Lead contract reviews for customer requirements. </li><li>Coordinate customer audits; ensure improvement actions are implemented. </li><li>Support regional & global supplier quality teams and supply chain: drive supplier quality programs, supplier audits / corrective actions, documentation alignment with key suppliers. </li></ul> <p>Service & Product Quality</p> <ul> <li>Gain deep understanding of data impacting both service and product quality; analyze trends and metrics to identify issue areas. </li><li>Lead cross-functional teams to resolve key quality issues and inquiries based on data. </li><li>Initiate and drive continuous process quality improvements in respective areas; support roll-out of the Vertiv Operating System, with measurable progress. </li><li>Share quality best practices across the region. </li></ul> <p>Quality Management Systems & Processes</p> <ul> <li>Manage Process Risk Analysis / RCCM (Root Cause Corrective Measures). </li><li>Responsible for deployment, implementation, and sustainment of the Quality Management System. </li><li>Maintain all QMS documentation: trip reports, audits, inspections. </li><li>Periodically coordinate QMS reviews, report to regional leadership on system status and operations. </li><li>Perform internal audits, track and report progress. </li><li>Serve as contact / representative for external certification bodies (e.g. ISO) and lead ISO-related audits. </li></ul> <p>Reporting, Compliance & Other Duties</p> <ul> <li>Provide regular (e.g. weekly) reports on Key Quality KPIs, product and service issues. </li><li>Ensure communication channels are effective within the business. </li><li>Oversee special projects / assignments as assigned. </li><li>Follow all internal Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, Vertiv trade-compliance rules, health & safety (H&S) and environmental protection policies. </li><li>Report accidents, occupational illness, emergency situations; follow emergencies and operational controls as required. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications (Required)</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related professional experience. </li><li>Significant experience (often 10+ years, depending on level) in quality management / engineering, including experience with product, service, and supplier quality in a manufacturing or technology environment. </li><li>Proven track record leading cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, performing root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action (CAPA) cycles. </li><li>Experience with Quality Management Systems and ISO (or similar) certifications, including audits (internal and external). </li><li>Strong data analysis skills - experience collecting, interpreting, and acting upon quality metrics / KPIs. </li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work across functions (manufacturing, service, supply chain, etc.). </li><li>Good understanding of risk management, process mapping, and process improvement methodologies. </li><li>Commitment to compliance, safety, environmental, H&S standards. </li><li>High confidence abilities in leading and conducting meetings and discussions </li><li>Experience in construction activities and manufacturing facilities </li><li>Strong communication skills </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skillsets</p> <ul> <li>Advanced degree or certification in quality management (e.g. Six Sigma, CQE, ISO Lead Auditor). </li><li>Experience with Vertiv or similar critical infrastructure / technology / manufacturing companies. </li><li>Mechanical, thermal, electrical, liquid cooling systems knowledge and experience and/ or advanced knowledge </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS</p> <ul> <li>Climb ladders, roof structural equipment, confined spaces, construction sites, a variety of environmental conditions </li></ul> <p>TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED</p> <ul> <li>75% travel </li></ul>
