<p>EXPOSURE CLASSIFICATION: Category I- All procedures or other job-related tasks that involve an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, tissues, or a potential for spill or splashes of blood or body fluids.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: A medical degree appropriate to the specialty from an accredited medical college or university and successful completion of a residency program. Minimum of 5 years of experience providing direct patient care and 3 years acting in a management position. State of South Carolina licensure to practice medicine is required. Must possess a valid South Carolina driver's license.</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess ability to communicate in the dominant language of the geographic region, and work effectively with other employees and visitors. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Vision and hearing corrected to normal are required. Independent mobility is also required.</p> <ol> <li>Clinical Care (3 Days/Week) </li></ol> <ul> <li>Provide direct patient care in assigned specialty or primary care area. </li><li>Maintain an active patient panel consistent with FQHC productivity expectations. </li><li>Coordinate care with other clinical departments. </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Administrative & Leadership (2 Days/Week) </li></ol> <ul> <li>Partner with the CMO in strategic planning for supervised service lines. </li><li>Supervise assigned department leaders and ensure effective communication. </li><li>Review performance data and implement improvements. </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Quality & Compliance: </li></ol> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with HRSA, Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable regulations. </li><li>Lead departmental quality improvement initiatives. </li><li>Prepare for audits, site visits, and accreditation reviews. </li></ul> <ol start="4"> <li>Staff Development & Mentorship: </li></ol> <ul> <li>Conduct performance evaluations for supervised staff and providers. </li><li>Support ongoing professional development and training. </li><li>Promote teamwork, innovation, and accountability. </li></ul> <ol start="5"> <li>Acting CMO Duties: </li></ol> <ul> <li>Serve as primary clinical leader in the CMO's absence. </li><li>Make urgent and strategic clinical decisions when necessary. </li></ul>
