<p>The CNC Instructor Aide - Special Projects will be responsible for providing high-quality assistance to the CNC Instructor and to students in the operation, programming, and maintenance of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines. This role requires a deep understanding of CNC machinery, excellent teaching abilities, and the capacity to inspire and guide students towards achieving technical proficiency.</p> <ul> <li>Assist the CNC instructor with comprehensive CNC machining curriculum and training programs. </li><li>Support students to operate, program, and maintain CNC machines including lathes, mills, and routers. </li><li>Assist with hands-on training and practical demonstrations on CNC equipment. </li><li>Ensure students understand safety protocols and industry standards. </li><li>Assist with and update course materials, lesson plans, and instructional guides. </li><li>Stay current with industry advancements and incorporate new technologies and methods into the curriculum. </li><li>Support and implement assessments to evaluate student progress and proficiency. </li><li>Mentor and guide students, providing individual assistance to support their learning and development. </li><li>Support and monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adjust teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles. </li><li>Foster a positive and engaging learning environment. </li><li>Ensure all CNC equipment and tools are properly maintained and in safe working condition. </li><li>Assist with and maintain the CNC lab or workshop, including inventory control and ordering of supplies. </li><li>Collaborate with the CNC instructor, colleagues, industry partners, and other stakeholders to enhance training programs. </li><li>Participate in professional development opportunities to stay informed about industry trends and advancements, as required. </li></ul> <p>Certificate in CNC machining, manufacturing technology OR equivalent 1.5 years of CNC machining experience.Previous teaching or training experience is preferred.</p>
