<ol> <li>About the Role </li></ol> <p>We are seeking a Power Plant Operations & Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the safe, reliable, and efficient daily operations of our reciprocating-engine power generation facility. In this role, you will manage on-site personnel, coordinate with an external O&M provider for major maintenance, and ensure full compliance with safety and environmental regulations.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Key Responsibilities </li></ol> <ul> <li>Daily Operations: Monitor engine performance, oversee day-to-day production, and ensure high plant availability. </li><li>Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with the external O&M provider to schedule and supervise maintenance activities, while handling minor repairs with the on-site team. </li><li>Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, maintain regulatory standards, and keep documentation up to date. </li><li>Team Leadership: Manage and develop plant staff, promote collaboration and continuous improvement, and conduct performance reviews. </li><li>Budget & Cost Management: Develop and track the operating budget, approve spending, and identify cost-saving opportunities. </li><li>Performance Optimization: Track KPIs, implement best practices, and drive efficiency improvements in partnership with the O&M provider. </li><li>Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with vendors, regulatory agencies, and community representatives. Ensure timely delivery of supplies and fuel. </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Qualifications </li></ol> <ul> <li>Experience: Several years of power generation or industrial facility experience (reciprocating engines preferred). </li><li>Education: High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications or vocational training a plus). </li><li>Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of engine operation, maintenance, and monitoring systems (SCADA/DCS preferred). </li><li>Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage vendor relationships effectively. </li></ul> <ol start="4"> <li>Working Conditions </li></ol> <ul> <li>Industrial environment with rotating machinery and elevated noise levels. </li><li>Possible extended hours or on-call requirements for emergencies. </li><li>Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when needed. </li><li>Some travel may be required for meetings or training. </li></ul>
