To find out more about CREC Magnet Schools and locations visit: crecschools.org.</p> <p>English teachers work under the general supervision of their school principal performing the essential performance responsibilities listed below.</p> <p>Essential Performance Responsibilities:</p> <p>The primary function of a CREC teacher is the planning for and effective delivery of instruction and assessment of student learning, in alignment with the Danielson Framework, with the incorporation of the CREC Core Values: Expect Excellence, Demand Equity, Act with Courage, Embrace Collaboration. In addition, a CREC teacher:</p> <ul> <li>Develops and administers curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives. </li><li>Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning. </li><li>Develops lesson plans and instructional materials for English, and translates lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction. </li><li>Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed. </li></ul> <p>Additional Duties:</p> <p>Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.</p> <p>Note: The above description is illustrative of tasks and responsibilities.
