The Coordinator acts as the liaison between the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs and Grant Program Directors, identifying and resolving issues and concerns with the grant management process. The Coordinator works closely with the Grants Accountant to ensure completion of required reporting and compliance activities. The Coordinator also works closely with the Director, Grants & Sponsored Programs to identify grant opportunities and prepare and submit grant proposals.</p> <p>Principal Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Coordination, Communication, and Collaboration with Grant Project Directors and Other Stakeholders </li><li>Coordination and Collaboration with Grants Accountant and Grants Accounting & Compliance Manager to Ensure Grant Compliance </li><li>Grant Opportunity Research, Proposal Development, Review, and Submission </li></ul> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Coordination, Communication, and Collaboration with Grant Project Directors and Other Stakeholders</p> </li><li> <p>Acts as the primary point of contact and liaison between the Office of Grants & Sponsored Programs, Principal Investigators, Grant Project Directors and Administrators, and other internal stakeholders</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies and resolves grant compliance, management, and process concerns, escalating to the Director, Grants & Sponsored Programs when appropriate</p> </li><li> <p>Represents the Office of Grants & Sponsored Programs at meetings with internal and external stakeholders when required or appropriate</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates and conducts meetings between Grant Program Directors and the Office of Grants & Sponsored Programs on a regular basis</p> </li><li> <p>Supports Grant Program Directors with technical and compliance assistance throughout the life of the award</p> </li><li> <p>Coordination and Collaboration with Grants Accountant and Grants Accounting & Compliance Manager to Ensure Grant Compliance</p> </li><li> <p>Works closely with the Grants Accountant and Grants Accounting & Compliance Manager to ensure timely and accurate completion and submission of required reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains up-to-date listing of active awards and reporting requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Reviews requisitions, expense reports, and employment contracts for accuracy and compliance with grant requirements and University policy</p> </li><li> <p>In collaboration with the Grants Accountant, proactively monitors grant expenditures and performance metrics in comparison to the grant budget and scope of work</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains up-to-date digital grant files including award agreements, MOUs, related contracts, reporting, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Grant Opportunity Research, Proposal Development, and Submission</p> </li><li> <p>Works with the Director of Grants and Sponsored Programs and University faculty and staff to understand funding priorities</p> </li><li> <p>Researches and identifies potential funding sources to meet University funding needs</p> </li><li> <p>Works with the Director of Grants and Sponsored Programs and University faculty and staff to develop grant proposals as appropriate</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in review of grant proposals prior to submission</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in ensuring timely completion and submission of grant proposals</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <p>MINIMUM JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Evidence of strong organizational, interpersonal and oral and written communications skills </li><li>Ability to work well under deadline pressure and to be flexible in a dynamic environment </li><li>Ability to think critically to identify problems and provide innovative solutions </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree, Business or related field </li><li>2-4 years of related experience </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with grants management or project management </li><li>Expert use of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, online database tools, and web-based and electronic grants systems </li></ul> <p>Shawnee State University offers a competitive starting salary (commensurate with overall qualifications) including an attractive benefits package.
