<p>OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION</p> <p>The Associate Buyer/Allocator will help support buys and allocations for the retail (brick and mortar) division of the organization. The Associate Buyer/Allocator is highly capable, skilled and self-motivated individual who works collaboratively with own department management, production, distribution and retail to support the overall performance of the company's brands.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Supports department management with day-to-day activities and projects. </li><li>Initiates analysis of business trends, including but not limited to, category performance, regional, selling, and size selling. </li><li>Recommend strategies based on location performance including seasonality, style, category etc. </li><li>Work directly with the field teams and merchants to determine the optimal inventory levels and product initiatives for all company initiatives. </li><li>Partner with production team regarding ship status, shortages and overages. </li><li>Own store allocations and in-season store transfers based on current trends and historical data. </li><li>Enter sales order in Full Circle and adjust orders as needed. </li><li>Allocate Pre-Books, weekly replenishments and send pick tickets. </li><li>Issue RAs and own RTW process. </li><li>Clear communication to stores regarding store-to-store transfers and RTW. </li><li>Attend weekly business meetings and make value-added contributions. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE</p> <p>SKILLS / COMPETENCIES</p> <ul> <li>Ability to complete tasks timely and exceeding time management skills </li><li>Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities </li><li>Organized with attention to detail while consistently maintaining sense of urgency </li><li>Able to prioritize workload, troubleshoot problems, and offer solutions </li><li>Experience with Full Circle </li><li>Excellent writing and analytical skills </li><li>Strong critical thinking and presentation skills </li></ul> <p>WORK EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Minimum of 2 years industry experience.</p> <p>EDUCATION</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience</p> <p>This position pays $85k annual base salary.</p> <p>JAMES PERSE was founded over 20 years ago in Los Angeles, California by its eponymous designer.
