<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Project Worker - Housekeeping provides housekeeping services, responds to safety and security needs, and supports resident well-being. Responsibilities include routine and deep cleaning, project work, floor and carpet care, and assistance with personal laundry and bed-making. The role also involves supporting resident care by responding to requests, emergencies, and communicating effectively with staff, residents, and guests.</p> <p>This position is considered essential and requires attendance during hazardous weather and on weekends and holidays.</p> <p>Core Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Follows organizational policies, procedures, and service standards </li><li>Works independently after training is complete </li><li>Demonstrates expertise in cleaning techniques, tools, and equipment </li><li>Completes daily schedules within assigned timeframes </li><li>Maintains attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness </li><li>Provides excellent customer service and professional communication </li><li>Maintains resident confidentiality and privacy </li><li>Adapts to changing priorities to meet resident and staff needs </li><li>Practices safe work habits and proper PPE use </li><li>Works collaboratively as part of a team </li></ul> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <p>Housekeeping</p> <ul> <li>Clean assigned areas, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment according to standards </li><li>Wash, dust, polish, vacuum, and sweep public areas including lobbies, restrooms, offices, corridors, and entrances </li><li>Restock restroom supplies and check dispensers regularly </li><li>Remove debris/trash from building entrances, driveways, and common areas </li><li>Clean and maintain guest rooms and special project areas as assigned </li><li>Maintain organized and clean storage areas for supplies and equipment </li><li>Report any structural or equipment defects to the supervisor </li></ul> <p>Safety & Emergency Response</p> <ul> <li>Respond promptly to emergencies, spills, accidents, and special cleaning needs </li><li>Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times </li><li>Assist with smoke or fire alarms, coordinating emergency response efforts as directed </li><li>Direct emergency vehicles and provide resident information to medical responders </li><li>Communicate using a two-way radio with nursing, maintenance, and administrative staff </li></ul> <p>Event & Project Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist in setting up and removing furniture and decorations for events </li><li>Perform deep cleaning projects and seasonal maintenance tasks </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred </li><li>1-2 years housekeeping experience preferred </li><li>Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation and infection control procedures </li><li>Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills </li><li>Previous security, concierge, or first aid/medical training preferred </li><li>Team-oriented, dependable, and customer-focused </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions & Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Prolonged walking, standing, bending, and reaching </li><li>Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and push/pull housekeeping carts and equipment </li><li>Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals (PPE provided) </li><li>Work primarily in climate-controlled areas with occasional exposure to noise and odors </li><li>Ability to climb ladders up to 8 feet </li></ul> <p>Schedule</p> <p>Works weekends and holidays.
