<p>What to Expect</p> <p>Tesla is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support the construction, commissioning, and operation of utilities and process systems at the new Semi-Factory, Giga-Factory and other offsite locations in Sparks, NV area. In this role, you will test, troubleshoot, and operate newly installed equipment, utilities, chemical delivery processes, and HVAC systems to support vehicle manufacturing. You will also be part of Commissioning and operations, ensuring the operational availability of manufacturing equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems, factory automation, and robotics. Collaborating with process and equipment engineering teams, you will work to improve reliability and minimize downtime.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Install, troubleshoot, and maintain various facilities equipment, including pumps, boilers, fans, cranes, compressors, HVAC, and dock equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Operate equipment using control software, troubleshoot deviations, and utilize control systems to monitor and verify trends</p> </li><li> <p>Support new equipment installation, startup, and routine operator rounds while collaborating with teammates and engineers</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in commissioning new equipment, drafting operating procedures, and preparing pre-task plans</p> </li><li> <p>Perform safe rigging procedures, troubleshoot facilities infrastructure, and enforce code compliance across multiple sites</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct preventative maintenance, generate failure reports, and implement corrective measures to improve operational efficiency</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain positive teamwork, interact with customers, and be proficient in office programs and equipment monitoring systems</p> </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li> <p>Journey Person Millwright or an equivalent 5 years of mechanical experience with industrial equipment, distribution, and infrastructure. Pipefitting considered and asset</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask and adapt to change</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in design of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, and industrial pumping systems like cooling water and air generation/distribution</p> </li><li> <p>Professional experience with various project types, including office systems, ventilation, general production/building systems, pressure testing and line flushing</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient knowledge and experience in project management, planning, planning execution, parts management, work coordination and able to manage multiple projects at one time</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, pre-task plans, work requests, walkdowns, checklist completion, and drafting training materials</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work flexible schedules, perform physical tasks, and contribute to operations outside normal skill set with safety-conscious practices</p> </li></ul> <p>Tesla is an Equal Opportunity employer.
