<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The On Premise Sales Director oversees all territory management responsibilities for their assigned channel and sales team, including, but not limited to: supervision of Sales Team Leads and Account Managers in, development of sales goals and account relations.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develops an effective marketing and sales strategy designed to maximize wine and spirits distribution within an established or growing customer base </li><li>Regularly analyzes current market conditions to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats </li><li>Responsible for staffing, staff planning, conducting performance appraisals on direct reports, budgeting, ensuring compliance with training requirements, developing direct reports and controlling expenditures </li><li>Analyze reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to identify potential growth areas, capture market share, identify trends, monitor depletions, and make recommendations to sales consultants or the VP of Sales </li><li>Provides team leads regular coaching in effective leadership and managerial best practices </li><li>Conducts regular General Sales Meetings with sales team </li><li>Actively works to identify training and communication channels to enhance the capability of assigned team. </li><li>Directly communicates with Wine & Spirits Brand Managers to identify opportunities in portfolio and market. </li><li>Ensures Account Managers complete and utilize all necessary educational programs, materials, and other training </li><li>Works in the market with assigned team members; provides suggestions and strategies to increase business </li><li>Conducts tastings, attends account relations events (dinner, etc.) and participates in trade shows as necessary </li><li>Works with the accounting department to resolve any billing issues for accounts within their designated territory </li><li>May be required to function as a backup for sales consultants to cover absences, if necessary. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree preferably from a four-year college or university required </li><li>5 years of field sales and/or marketing experience in the beverage industry. </li><li>3 years of territory management, including personnel supervision. </li><li>Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers and suppliers and to quickly and effectively manage conflict or disruption involving the same, should it arise </li><li>Requires occasional out-of-state and/or overnight travel </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Possesses a valid Drivers License and reliable transportation; company insurability standards </li><li>Competent in learning and using standard office and sales technology, including: tablets, cell phones, email software, Microsoft Office suite, and sales and warehouse management software </li><li>Demonstrated effective and efficient written and oral communication </li><li>Proven ability to effectively lead a team, including competence in: performance management, training, </li><li>Familiarity with state liquor laws and other related laws, policy and regulations </li><li>Adheres closely to company policies and procedure and all relevant laws </li><li>Effectively manages multiple tasks and priorities </li><li>Demonstrates interpersonal skills with a proven ability to effectively build and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders </li><li>Demonstrates superior organization, execution and follow-through </li><li>Exercises sound judgement in decision-making </li><li>Takes initiative to complete regular responsibilities, assigned tasks and achieve goals </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending/crouching and reaching in front and above the head </li><li>May require sitting or standing for extended periods of time </li><li>Regularly lifts and carries items weighing up to 30 lbs. </li><li>Occasionally lifts, pushes or pulls items weighing more than 30 lbs. with assistance, if needed </li></ul> <p>Environmental Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Job duties are regularly performed inside and outside customer accounts and in standard office environments </li><li>Occasional work in a warehouse environment </li><li>Experiences exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions </li></ul> <p>Compensation: Compensation package with a salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 including salary bonus, incentives and auto reimbursement. This an average range for this position.
