The Lead Toddler Teacher is responsible for creating a warm, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages 1-2. This role requires strong communication, classroom management, and curriculum implementation skills.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement a daily curriculum that supports the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development of toddlers </li><li>Create a structured yet flexible classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence </li><li>Foster strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and team members </li><li>Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate developmental records and assessments </li><li>Ensure the classroom meets or exceeds licensing standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization </li><li>Maintain consistent communication with families, providing regular updates and support </li><li>Mentor and guide assistant teachers or floaters in the classroom </li><li>Collaborate with the center leadership and participate in training, staff meetings, and school events </li><li>Promote positive discipline strategies and model appropriate behaviors </li><li>Follow all center policies and state licensing regulations </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred </li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a toddler classroom setting </li><li>State-required certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid, Child Abuse Clearance, Background Check) </li><li>Strong knowledge of toddler development and age-appropriate practices </li><li>Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills </li><li>Passion for early childhood education and a genuine love of working with young children </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <p>Full-time, Monday through Friday</p> <p>(Some flexibility required for staff meetings or special events)</p> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Must be able to lift to 40 lbs., sit on the floor, bend, stoop, and actively engage with children at their level.</p>
