This is a full time, permanent position.?Schedule for shifts subjected to change based on needs of programs, however schedules?are given two weeks in advance</p> <p>This position requires a dependable candidate who is flexible in their schedule, works well independently, and has exceptional communication and decision-making skills.??Float DSPs are?adaptable and will have the necessary skill set to be able to work at multiple homes.</p> <ul> <li>Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment </li><li>Provide companionship and personalized care with respect and dignity while encouraging independence and self-care. </li><li>Assist patients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating. </li><li>Prepare meals and snacks. May include grocery shopping. </li><li>Perform housekeeping and laundry duties </li><li>Provide mobility and transfer assistance, which may include using mechanical lift devices. </li><li>Assist with transportation needs for community outings, appointments, and errands </li><li>Implement?positive behavior supports and de-escalating challenging behaviors when needed. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Why This Role:</p> <ul> <li>Personal fulfillment, a meaningful career, and the chance to make a difference. </li><li>Positively impact someone's life. </li><li>Gain health care experience to further your career. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>1+ years of DSP/Caregiving experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities?is?required. </li><li>Must have?valid driver's license & vehicle?to travel between programs and provide transportation to clients </li><li>Must be able to work a flexible schedule </li><li>Must be able and willing to learn different supports, from medical to behavioral </li><li>Have a passion to help others through person-centered care </li><li>Works well independently </li><li>Dependable, adaptable, and flexible </li><li>Good?communication is key in this role.
