The GSG consulting team is comprised of diverse, experienced, driven, and dynamic contributors who excel at getting things done.</p> <p>About the Opportunity:</p> <p>GSG is seeking a skilled Java Developer with strong experience in Java and SQL to support development initiatives related to the Charles River Development (CRD) platform. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on knowledge of CRD's architecture, APIs, workflows, and integration patterns. CRD experience is highly prioritized. If not available, a strong background in asset or investment management systems is required.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications with a focus on CRD integration and customization. </li><li>Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions. </li><li>Build and troubleshoot Java components and SQL queries supporting investment management operations. </li><li>Analyze and resolve system defects and runtime issues using tools such as SQL profiling and Java logging. </li><li>Participate in end-to-end testing to ensure high-quality, compliant deliverables. </li><li>Interpret functional and technical specifications to deliver complex coding solutions aligned with business objectives. </li><li>Maintain and enhance Java-based interfaces and data handling processes within CRD and related systems. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. </li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in Java development and SQL-based data handling. </li><li>CRD platform experience is highly preferred-including APIs, workflows, and integration patterns. </li><li>In lieu of CRD experience, proven experience in asset or investment management technology platforms is required. </li><li>Deep understanding of Oracle Java, relational databases, and enterprise system integration. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills with strong communication and documentation abilities. </li><li>Prior experience in financial services, particularly within investment operations or portfolio systems. </li></ul> <p>Employee Benefits:</p> <p>GSG is excited to offer its consultants excellent compensation and a robust option of benefits which include comprehensive medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage.
