<p>Join our team as a Shipping Administrative Assistant!</p> <p>Shift: 1st Mon-Fri</p> <p>Pay: $16-17/hr.</p> <p>Benefits: Yes, full benefits after 60 days!</p> <p>What to expect:</p> <ul> <li>Manages pick tickets during the shift, assigning them to employees and tracking their progress. </li><li>Collates pick tickets by customer to aid the Shipping Clerk in creating BOL's and UPS manifests. </li><li>Prepare Bills of Lading (BOL) as to class, weight and destination of goods. </li><li>Optimizes BOLs by grouping orders to a common customer/destination combination under a single BOL. </li><li>Schedules carriers based upon information pulled from customer orders. </li><li>Monitors incoming orders for those that are for shipment the same day; aggregate if appropriate. </li><li>Prints out and tender BOL to carriers via carrier web site, third party site or other means. </li><li>Communicates and provides BOLs and/master packing slips to customers and resolve issues, clarify shipment intentions. </li><li>Runs and reviews company truck weights daily report for next days' shipments and print truck reports to check weights and determine carriers that will be required. </li><li>Reviews and communicate issues to Shipping Manager </li><li>Communicates with carriers to resolve issues, find lost or damaged product, obtain estimate of delivery time. </li><li>Arranges carriers to pick up product for returned goods (RMA's) </li><li>Maintains organized electronic and manual files of shipping paperwork. </li><li>Suggests and implement cost-saving ideas. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>2-3 years' experience in a distribution environment and/or working with detail clerical tasks. </li><li>Must possess a general knowledge of invoices and packing slips. </li><li>Must possess communication and basic math skills Use of a personal computer and an ERP system, e-mail, Excel, running and exporting reports, web searches for carrier and other tracking inquires. </li><li>Good critical thinking, problem solving abilities and strong follow through. </li><li>Detail oriented and organized. </li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks based upon situation and potential impact to customer service and cost. </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills </li><li>Professional and diplomatic in dialogue </li><li>Willing to work overtime and weekends as/if needed. </li><li>Initiative-taker requiring minimal supervision </li></ul> <p>Forklift Experience a plus!</p> <p>No Travel Expected</p> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Able to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust. </li><li>100%: Stand, handle or feel, squeeze or grasp. </li><li>100%: Working bent at waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bending or twisting. </li><li>80%: Reaching with hands and arms, depth perception. </li><li>50%: Walk, repetitive motion, operate moving equipment </li></ul> <p>What YOU get:</p> <p>We offer competitive wages, shift premiums, and benefits.
