Succeed. #BeHere</p> <p>Location: US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility.</p> <p>This job is HYBRID.</p> <p>FTE: 1.000000</p> <p>Shift: Shift 1</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Director of Patient Safety is responsible for leading and implementing patient safety initiatives to enhance the quality of care and minimize risks within the healthcare organization (South Region). This role involves being a thought leader and expert on concepts of a High Reliability Organization (HRO) where the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the safety event review process, analyzing adverse events, and developing safety programs in the South Region. The Director interfaces with clinicians, physicians and APPs regularly as part of the care team. The Director collaborates with clinical and administrative leaders in the South Region to foster a culture of safety, improve patient outcomes, and drive continuous process improvements.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>Minimum of 5 years of experience in patient safety, risk management, or quality improvement within a healthcare setting. Leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare system.</p> <p>EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Master's Degree in a healthcare or related business field is required.</p> <p>TRAINING DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>In-depth knowledge of patient safety science, quality outcomes indicators, and the ability to interpret relevant regulations.</p> <p>SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements, and safety best practices. Ability to analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable safety initiatives. Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills. Proficiency in patient safety event reporting tools and quality improvement methodologies. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to address safety challenges. Ability to influence and engage multidisciplinary teams in patient safety efforts. Prior experience working in an academic medical center or within a highly matrixed complex healthcare delivery organization is preferred.</p> <p>LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
