<p>Job Description:</p> <p>POSITION: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)</p> <ul> <li>Special Education </li><li>Putnam Elementary School </li></ul> <p>DESCRIPTION: A registered behavior technician (RBT) supports and implements individualized plans under the direction of a board-certified behavior analyst. RBTs provide applied behavior analysis interventions that assist students develop social skills as well as positive behavior.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols </li><li>Collect, record, and summarize data on targeted behaviors </li><li>Assist special education teacher in accordance with students individualized plans </li><li>Maintain confidentiality </li><li>Effectively communicate with board-certified behavior analyst and special education teacher regarding data and student progress </li><li>Follow all protocols and training to ensure student safety </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification in Connecticut (Required) </li><li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Required) </li><li>ParaPro Test or equivalent of 2 year's college credits - 60 credits (Required) </li><li>Experience working in a school system preferred </li></ul> <p>START DATE: 2025-2026 School Year</p> <p>RATE OF PAY: $31.84 per hour</p> <p>APPLICATION PROCEDURE:</p> <p>EXTERNAL APPLICANTS: Please submit your application through our website: www.putnamschoolsct.org</p> <p>INTERNAL APPLICANTS: Please submit a letter of interest to Rebecca Lopes, Director of Student Services</p> <p>APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: Open until filled</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p>
