This position will ensure high quality project deliverables meet time, scope, budget, and customer satisfaction expectations. Deliverables will be met through direct leadership, individual and team development, adherence to AVI-SPL processes and policy standards in coordination with local Operations Management (the Manager, Project Management where applicable) and the VP, Project Management.</p> <p>Day-To-Day Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide support and direction for the office PM group and engage in the direct management of assigned projects to allow time to operate equally in both capacities properly. </li><li>Support the office Project Management team through collaboration, guidance, and performance oversight in coordination with local Operations Management, VP, and Project Management. </li><li>Provide leadership and guidance to local Project Management team to ensure projects are well planned, organized, and communicated throughout full project execution. </li><li>Share, teach and reinforce the use of AVI-SPL standard practice across the team. </li><li>Assist the Project Management team in proper project planning, forecasting, schedule development, change management strategies, and resource needs. </li><li>Review ongoing project financial metrics and initiate appropriate tactics to bring project budgetary goals into alignment. </li><li>Act as an escalation point for the team to help resolve project issues. </li><li>Guide the Project Management team to elicit project results that satisfy customer requirements to obtain AVI-SPL Net Promoter Score goals. </li><li>Ensure efficient and effective Project Management training; provide direction where deficiencies exist. </li><li>Provide individual PM performance feedback to Operations Management. </li><li>Interface directly with clients on projects as required to ensure positive project outcome and customer experience. </li><li>Execute team development strategies targeted to ensure skill enhancement, collaboration, and success of the Project Management team. </li><li>Assist in project assignments for Project Management team members, matching skill set and project complexity. </li><li>Conduct ongoing performance reviews of team members and make staffing and hiring recommendations based on the outcomes of these reviews. </li><li>Promote leadership through collaboration, cooperation, and communication across functions within the office to strengthen Project Management outcomes. </li></ul> <p>WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR</p> <p>Must-Haves:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience managing Project Management teams in the Audio Visual, Construction, Technology (Structured Cabling / Security) or related industry. </li><li>Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Audio-Visual industry. </li><li>Advanced knowledge and application of Project Management skills and techniques. </li><li>Demonstrate leadership and management skills in a team-oriented, collaborative environment to create alignment within the Project Management team. </li><li>Proven ability to significantly contribute toward or lead operation initiatives with a results-oriented approach. </li><li>Ability to mentor, educate, and develop members of the team. </li><li>Ability to understand the team and provide solutions for optimal performance. </li><li>Exceptional strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills. </li><li>Excellent capability to switch tasks while adapting to changing priorities. </li><li>Ability to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of the organization. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. </li><li>Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards. </li><li>Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. </li></ul> <p>Nice-To-Haves:</p> <ul> <li>Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) or PRINCE2-Practitioner Certification. </li><li>Formal education in Audio Visual, Construction, Technology, or related field. </li></ul> <p>REPORTING STRUCTURE</p> <p>Project Management team positions (~4 to 8) within the office will report directly to the Supervisor, Project Management.</p> <p>WHY YOU'LL LIKE WORKING HERE</p> <ul> <li>Medical benefits, including vision and dental. </li><li>Paid holidays and personal days. </li><li>Enjoyable and dynamic company culture. </li><li>Training and professional development opportunities. </li></ul> <p>MORE ABOUT US</p> <p>AVI-SPL is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
