The licensed professional provides medical care to patients under supervision of a licensed psychiatrist. Primary responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating mental illness by providing psychotherapy and managing medication.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate within many different clinical populations including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and more. </li><li>Positive encouragement to focus on your clinical passion; </li><li>Professional support through a caring, team culture that promotes personal and professional development; </li><li>Comprehensive benefits package </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Current State of Illinois licensure in good standing as Advanced Practice Nurse and RN. </li><li>National certification as Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatric Training (ANCC) </li><li>Board Certified (or elligibility to obtain) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner -- PMHNP-BC </li><li>Current CPR certification must be maintained (BLS). </li><li>Based on prescriptive authority, active Mid-level Practitioner Controlled Substance License and DEA License a plus </li><li>A minimum of 5 years previous experience in behavioral health nursing is required. </li></ul>
