<p>Job Title Student Services Technician (Federal Work Study) Job Description</p> <p>This position will be located on the Old Charlotte Highway Campus in Monroe.</p> <p>Essential Duties Summary</p> <ol> <li> <p>Greet visitors and students, provide directions within building and across campus locations. Become familiar with safety protocol, emergency evacuation plans, and lock down protocols at each location.</p> </li><li> <p>Become knowledgeable of enrollment processes, admissions, residency and financial aid. Assist new and returning students with application for enrollment, completion of the Residency Determination Service, FAFSA completion. Become familiar with processes within Student Services, such as Add/Drop period, Withdrawal process, transcript request.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist new students with initial login to SPCC accounts, instruct students on how to navigate and utilize SPCC technology platforms, ex. Office 365, Moodle, Aviso, Qless, Career Coach.</p> </li><li> <p>Scan and verify Documents in Etrieve, paying attention to detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Become familiar with resources at the college, both within the Student Affairs Division and across the college. Grow in ability to communicate with students, identify student needs and direct them to the appropriate area of the college for assistance. Knowledgeable in regards to the function of each area of Student Services.</p> </li><li> <p>Have the ability to read and interpret student class schedule, understand section numbering.</p> </li><li> <p>Contact and communicate with current and prospective students, ex. follow up on enrollment status, what is needed to complete admissions &/or Financial Aid files, Deregistration.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to fill in for Success Navigators as needed. Ex, lunch coverage, training.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with Student Life activities and events, ex. Sign in, set up and breakdown.</p> </li></ol> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Customer Service skills: Ability to speak with the public, greet visitors, and offer assistance; </li><li>Great Communication skills both in person, over the phone, and through electronic communication; </li><li>Time Management: Ability to prioritize and stay on task; </li><li>Proactive attitude; </li><li>Proficient with Office 365. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands Special Conditions Eligibility Summary</p> <p>Students must have completed a current year's FAFSA, be eligible for Federal Financial Aid, be enrolled at South Piedmont Community College, be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (GPA of 2.000 or higher, a completion rate of 67% or higher, not exceeding the maximum timeframe of 150%) to apply.</p> <p>Eeo Statement Summary</p> <p>South Piedmont Community College provides equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees based on job related criteria without reference to race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, disability, genetic information, or any other legally protected classification.
