This is a hands-on farming role involving day-to-day livestock care, crop farming, equipment operation, and general farm maintenance. We proudly serve Cayuga Nation Citizens across the U.S. by providing quarterly meat distributions and are committed to high standards of animal care and agricultural sustainability.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>As a Farm Hand, you will support and oversee the day-to-day operation of a fully functioning livestock and crop farm. Your responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Performing daily farm chores: feeding, watering, cleaning, and animal handling</p> </li><li> <p>Assisting with seasonal harvesting, hay baling, and crop care</p> </li><li> <p>Monitoring animal health and behavior, especially during calving season</p> </li><li> <p>Operating and maintaining farm machinery (tractors, ATVs, spreaders, loaders, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Performing light mechanical repairs and equipment upkeep</p> </li><li> <p>Maintaining clean and safe animal habitats and farm facilities</p> </li><li> <p>Recording data, restocking supplies, and keeping inventory</p> </li><li> <p>Supporting team members and being available for additional coverage as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Providing on-site oversight and stepping in independently when required</p> </li><li> <p>Assisting during weekend feedings, early mornings, evenings, and urgent tasks</p> </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <p>We're looking for someone who:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Is at least 18 years old</p> </li><li> <p>Can work independently with strong initiative and accountability</p> </li><li> <p>Has 1+ year experience in agriculture, livestock care, or a similar role</p> </li><li> <p>Is comfortable with livestock handling (cattle, pigs, poultry)</p> </li><li> <p>Can operate farm equipment and basic tools safely and effectively</p> </li><li> <p>Is capable of lifting 50 lbs. and performing repetitive physical work</p> </li><li> <p>Can adapt to variable hours, weather conditions, and farm priorities</p> </li><li> <p>Has reliable transportation and can pass a drug screening</p> </li><li> <p>Holds a high school diploma or equivalent (or is currently enrolled)</p> </li></ul> <p>Schedule & Hours</p> <p>Typical Weekly Hours: 40+ (Varies Seasonally)</p> <p>Winter Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM</p> <p>?
