<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Rotating Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Posting</p> <p>At Saint Francis Hospital, the level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) consists of 28 beds. Preterm and term neonates in need of additional medical and surgical management and highly specialized care are admitted to the unit</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Attend births and provide care for infants with medical complications directly after birth</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor the health of infants suffering from medical issues, such as prematurity or congenial defects</p> </li><li> <p>Educate new parents on the care of their infant, including basic infant care, breastfeeding, and safety</p> </li><li> <p>Contributes to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that impact patient care positively</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with admin, colleagues, patients and family members</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduate preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut</p> </li><li> <p>Certification: BLS CPR.
