<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Central Office Admin/Diagnostician</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>6/6/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Special Education</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>06/15/2025</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>JOB TITLE: Diagnostician</p> <p>DUTY DAYS: 195</p> <p>PAY GRADE: A01</p> <p>SALARY SCHEDULE: Click for Salary Schedule</p> <p>PRIMARY PURPOSE:</p> <p>To serve as a member of the multidisciplinary evaluation team to conduct evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services; conduct and facilitate ARD meetings in accordance with federal and state procedures and regulations</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Education/Certification:</p> <ul> <li>Certified by SBEC as an Educational Diagnostician </li></ul> <p>Special Knowledge/ Skills/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge, practice, and interpretation of common assessment tools used in the determination of special education disability conditions. Knowledge and practice in the areas of academic instruction and strategies, data-based decision making, and legal, ethical, and professional practices. At least one year experience or practicum in a school setting, preferred. </li></ul> <p>MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Conduct Full Individual Evaluations as part of the multidisciplinary evaluation team to identify students who may be eligible for special education services</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize the District Special Education Software IEP program to keep accurate ARD information on all special education students</p> </li><li> <p>Work collaboratively with campus administration and teacher of record to ensure State Assessment requirements are fulfilled and current State Assessment information is available for appropriate personnel</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff to develop the IEP through the ARD committee process for each student assigned</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate and conduct the ARD committee meetings on a regular basis using the District Special Education Software IEP program</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor implementation of the IEP/ARD and support service recommendations</p> </li><li> <p>Assist special education teachers in developing appropriate IEPs for their students</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with Intervention Assistance Teams (IAT) Chair as appropriate</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate, assist, and coordinate:</p> </li><li> <p>Implementation of effective instructional strategies and modifications</p> </li><li> <p>Appropriate instructional strategies/activities</p> </li><li> <p>Use of learning strategies, materials, and equipment</p> </li><li> <p>With regular education classroom teacher to modify regular curriculum or differentiate instruction</p> </li><li> <p>Consult district and outside resource people regarding education, social, medical, and personal needs of students</p> </li><li> <p>Establish and maintain professional communication with parents, students, principals, teachers, team leaders and supervisor</p> </li><li> <p>Provide ongoing information to parents regarding Transition services</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a professional relationships with supervisor, team leaders, colleagues, students, parents, and community members</p> </li><li> <p>Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly</p> </li><li> <p>Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required</p> </li><li> <p>Participation in staff development activities to improve job-related skills</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain understanding of and comply with federal, state, district, department and school procedures, regulations, and policies for the special education process</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Special Education or their designee</p> </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <p>Mental Demands:</p> <p>Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under stress; interpret policy, procedures, and data; coordinate district functions; coordinate campus support functions</p> <p>Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:</p> <p>Frequent prolonged and irregular hours; repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer; steady phone interactions; moderate standing, walking, and bending; occasional district-wide travel</p>
