<p>General Function</p> <p>The Program Coordinator - Federal Pell Grant and Return to Title IV reviews and analyzes to properly disburse, recalculate, and reconcile accounts in Title IV programs. Assists in processing information related to other types of financial aid programs including private education loans, state aid, and institutional scholarships. Monitors disbursements and edits records and accounts to align with rules and regulations. Independently manage the implantation, critical and direct oversight, and regulatory processes for the Federal Pell Grant Program and Return to Title IV.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Independently manage the administration of the Federal Pell Grant and Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant programs; awards, disburses and reconciles funds. </li><li>Interpret, articulate, and disseminate financial aid policies, procedures and regulations to students, parents and the public. Additional duties include, determining aid eligibility, processing awards, and providing consultations and financial aid advising applicants and prospective student groups in person, by telephone, or by email. </li><li>Maintain knowledge of federal verification requirements and tax return guidelines in order to accurately evaluate student awards, including helping students and parents resolve outstanding issues and obtaining required information and documentation. </li><li>Serves as an institutional program subject-matter expert for Pell and Return to Title IV, including all applicable federal, state, and institutional regulations and administrative responsibilities. </li><li>Monitorthe uncashed check process to ensure all funds over the allotted period are returned to the Department of Education, reported to U.S. Department of Education's Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System, and student awards are adjusted accordingly. </li><li>Coordinatedisbursement of aid to student accounts with the Business Office ensuring student eligibility, timely posting of funds, and reconciliation. Create and maintain student disbursement/refund calendar. </li><li>Review student enrollments to determine if a Return to Title IV Funds calculation, post withdrawal disbursement, or loss of financial aid eligibility is required. Perform the R2T4 calculations within the federally mandated timeframes and guidelines. Notify students when a R2T4 calculation is performed. </li><li>Electronically transmit and reconcile Pell origination and disbursement records to the U.S. Department of Education's Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System. </li><li>Adjust student awards for conversion programs, classes not in program of study, not enrolled in an eligible program of study, lifetime eligibility, etc. </li><li>Adjust student awards for Pell lifetime eligibility used. </li><li>Correct over awards and over payments in a timely manner. Run the over award report weekly. Ensure all third-party sponsors are included in determining the student's remaining need. </li><li>Adhere to the highest professional and ethical standards to maintain data confidentiality and integrity. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Business, Accounting or related field and at least 1 to 2 years or related work experience</p> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Strong organizational, accounting and analytical skills </li><li>Expertise in the implementation of financial aid and veterans' affairs policies and programs </li><li>Knowledge of applicable financial aid federal and state statutes and regulations governing assistance programs </li><li>Strong computer and technology skills and knowledge of financial aid software applications </li><li>Ability to identify challenges and implement solutions </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills </li><li>Knowledge of CPCC enrollment processes and requirements </li></ul>
