Colorado residents utilize identification, driver, and vehicle services at State and County offices to obtain identification cards, driver licenses, vehicle registrations, titles, and other related services. Additionally, the DMV licenses and provides oversight of private businesses and government organizations that provide driver and emission testing services. Finally, the division works closely with other state agencies and programs to provide information and education to serve the public and encourage voluntary compliance.</p> <p>The Driver License Section within the Division of Motor Vehicles is seeking a dynamic, engaging professional to work remotely in Driver License Administration & Support Services to lead the efforts of oversight and management of the Driver License Office (DLO) facilities across the state and the DL Warehouse. This position reports directly to the DL Operations Manager. </p> <p>The Facilities Manager will be primarily responsible for: </p> <ul> <li>Facilitate market survey site visits as necessary for the scouting of potential real estate associated with Driver Services (DS) Field Operations </li><li>Acts as the communications liaison between DL leadership, DOR Facilities and DL Staff including Regional and Office Managers </li><li>Develops and implements tools for tracking projects and communicating plans between teams; tracks maintenance and upgrades request for DLOs </li><li>In coordination with FSS, develops office layouts and specifications for tenant improvements in DLOs </li><li>Coordinates with other departments to facilitate office relocations, construction, and remodeling projects, ensuring compliance with ADA guidelines </li><li>Develops, reviews, and approves contractual lease language for new and existing office leases </li><li>Travel to existing DLO locations across Colorado for site visits to evaluate the need for upgrade and remodel requests </li><li>Coordinate vendors and/or contractors necessary to perform work in DLOs and perform continual oversight of active vendors and/or contractors </li><li>Assess current facility layouts and plan for future needs based on operational growth or changes </li><li>Maintain a detailed log of all facility-related issues, their resolution, and trends, providing regular reports to management </li></ul> <p>The Facilities Manager will also act as a liaison between internal Technology Support (OIT/CAM) teams for technology management for DL Field Operations Staff:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for tracking and managing invoices associated with Contracts and Purchase Orders which directly align with DL Field Operations Staff </li><li>Develops, utilizes and maintains tools for tracking DL assets, including spend-down analysis and re-order levels </li><li>Provides reports to the DL Operations Manager showing trends related to asset management </li><li>Develops, utilizes and maintains tools for Field Operations Staff to request products and services to support their business needs </li><li>Coordinate the ordering and distribution of DL Manuals for the state </li><li>Provide administrative support to the Field Operations Manager as needed </li><li>Provides vendor management and programmatic contract monitoring for the DL security guard contracts and other Field Operations Contractors as appropriate </li></ul> <p>Additionally, the Facilities Manager is also the coordinator for the DL warehouse. </p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for forklift operations, including training, scheduling, and comprehensive maintenance </li><li>Provides reporting to the DL Operations Manager regarding warehouse supply, inventory levels and needs </li><li>Create clear guidelines for all warehouse activities to ensure consistency and efficiency </li><li>Analyze warehouse metrics to identify ordering trends and opportunities for improvement in workflows </li><li>Liaise with suppliers for equipment, supplies, and services </li><li>On-site warehouse visits as needed </li></ul> <p>This remote position is currently tasked with performing work duties via flex-place (aka telework, work-from home arrangements) with as needed on-site visits at facilities statewide as well as periodic work at the assigned primary physical work address.</p> <p>Residency Requirement:</p> <p>This posting is only open to residents of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application. Applicants may be ineligible to apply for this position and subsequently disqualified if they do not have a Colorado address and a valid Colorado State issued Driver's License at the time of application.</p> <p>Class Code & Classification Description: (New)</p> <p>H1B3XXADMINISTRATOR III</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Experience Only:</p> <p>Six (6) years of relevant experience in Facilities, Program, or Operations Manager; Warehouse Supervisor, Program Coordinator or Program Liaison; or in an occupation directly related to the work assigned to this position.</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <p>A combination of related education in Business Administration, Facilities or Project Management, Real Estate; Occupational Health & Safety, and/or relevant experience in in Facilities, Program, or Operations Manager; Warehouse Supervisor, Program Coordinator or Program Liaison, or an occupation related to the work assigned equal to six (6) years.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>The ideal candidate will additionally possess the following skills:</p> <ul> <li>Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and coordinate with a diverse range of external vendors </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make decisions related to facilities and asset management </li><li>Prior experience acting as a liaison between different departments, such as leadership, facilities, and staff </li><li>Experience in commercial leasing, including assessing and optimizing facility layouts to ensure efficiency, functionality, and ADA compliance </li><li>Warehouse experience including forklift certification or the ability to become forklift certified </li></ul> <p>Conditions of Employment with the CDOR:</p> <p>Employees are in a position of public trust in the performance of their job duties and must operate in a manner that maintains the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and public confidence. </p> <p>As a condition of employment with the CDOR, all personnel must file all necessary Colorado Individual Income Tax (CIIT) returns and pay tax obligations, therefore all employees must undergo a pre-employment evaluation of their tax records/accounts to ensure compliance with this policy. Final candidates must also complete a successful background investigation and reference check prior to appointment.
