<p>Roadway Design Engineering Specialist to join our Pennsylvania team. You can be based in Douglassville, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, or Philadelphia. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of roadway, highway, and transit projects, contributing to innovative design solutions that meet the highest quality standards, budget constraints, and project schedules.</p> <ul> <li>This position is not eligible for sponsorship* </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Providing professional design services for transportation improvement projects for the PennDOT and local County/City agencies</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and refine 3D models, alignments, profiles, corridors, cross-sections, typical sections, superelevation data, and miscellaneous roadway detail sheets for transportation projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Designing to adhere to ADA Standards</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinating with the design team for developing and providing technical direction</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinating with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget, and the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages</p> </li><li> <p>Assisting with the preparation of technical and cost proposals.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintaining relationships with client technical staff and project managers</p> </li><li> <p>Attending project meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and the project team</p> </li><li> <p>Stay current with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices related to OpenRoads, applying new knowledge to enhance project outcomes.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in civil engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Master's degree in civil engineering is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Successful completion of the FE exam preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>0+ years of experience.</p> </li><li> <p>PennDOT and municipal client experience is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient with MicroStation and Inroads/OpenRoads modeling design software or AutoCAD</p> </li><li> <p>OpenRoads Designer experience is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Microsoft Office Suite</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with AASHTO and local agency design standards is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong oral and written communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Professional society membership and involvement is a plus.</p> </li></ul> <p>Compensation Range:</p> <p>$72,053.98 - $82,347.40</p> <p>STV offers the following benefits • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off (starting at 16 days) • Paid Holidays (9 days) • Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year) • Parental Leave (up to 80 hours) • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society Memberships</p> <p>STV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
