The Scheduler functions as a member of the healthcare team with responsibilities that commensurate with educational preparation and demonstrated competencies. Direct patient interaction is provided to patients of all ages.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Schedules follow up/return visits to our office for patients</p> </li><li> <p>Obtains appropriate pre-certification and pre-authorizations, as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Schedules medical tests and procedures for patients</p> </li><li> <p>Discusses patient instructions for procedures with patient so patient has clear understanding of what is expected</p> </li><li> <p>Calls patients to schedule procedures and give instructions over phone with follow-up letter with instructions</p> </li><li> <p>Uses Epic, Centricity Business, online paging systems and retrieves information from other hospital systems</p> </li></ul> <p>Other Functions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct</p> </li><li> <p>Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Job Description:</p>
