We serve students with a broad range of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional learning needs, providing the support, education, and tools they need to achieve success and enjoy rewarding futures. We're in search of a highly motivated individual with experience in assessment, curriculum and instruction for students with emotional and learning disabilities to serve as an Education Director at High Road School of Philadelphia. High Road School of Philadelphia is a safe and nurturing environment with students in grades 7-12 and located near Temple University's medical campus. Small classes and a high staff-to-student ratio allow for personalized instruction and individualized responsiveness. This is a 12-month position. Our ideal candidate will be someone who can nurture the confidence and character while meeting the needs of our 100+ student population by utilizing SESI instructional models, strategies, and curriculum. He/She will ensure that all students are being educated in accordance with their individualized Education Plans and drive, record, and track student growth and progress toward academic, social, and emotional goals. He/She should be highly personable and have a love for this field and the students we serve. Under the direction of the Program Director, the Education Director is responsible for: <em>Developing and tracking benchmarks for measuring institutional success </em>Encouraging, guiding and assisting teachers to help them maximize their teaching potential <em>Meeting with parents and administrators on a regular basis for problem resolution </em>Enforcing discipline when necessary <em>Utilizing school's behavior management and intervention strategies including but not limited to deescalation techniques, crisis management, and PBIS strategies </em>Observing classrooms on a regular basis, both formally and informally <em>Forging and maintaining stakeholder relationships </em>Supporting staff professional development initiatives by identifying training needs and organizing relevant workshops or programs <em>Staying updated with best practices and research in special education, ensuring the implementation of evidence based strategies </em>Supervising and collaborating with the IEP Coordinator to drive outcomes *Other duties may be assigned Our salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $85,000.00, dependent upon experience and education. Qualifications Master's Degree in Education Leadership or related field PA Principal Certification 5 years prior experience Demonstrated ability to communicate and build relationships with stakeholders, including students, parents, school district liaisons, and community representatives Demonstrated experience in active strategic planning and execution Ability to handle multiple projects with fine detail Work well under pressure with the flexibility to respond to changing priorities, unplanned events and/or emergencies Experience working with students with range of emotional, learning and behavioral disabilities PA Child Abuse clearance; FBI fingerprint check and PA Criminal background check required prior to first day of the job Posted Salary Range USD $75,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.</p>
