<p>This is a union eligible position.</p> <p>The Custodian is responsible for providing cleaning and sanitation services at HealthRIGHT 360 facilities. With a strong commitment to high-quality service, the Custodian supports program staff by ensuring that all facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained to meet operational needs. This team member works with a service-oriented mindset, takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, holds themselves and others accountable, follows through on assigned tasks, communicates effectively, and responds promptly to requests. They carry out their duties with compassion and a spirit of partnership to support the agency's mission and goals.</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Direct Service Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Under limited supervision, perform daily housekeeping, cleaning, and maintenance reporting for program. </li><li>Follow COVID Cleaning Protocols, safety, healthcare/hazardous waste policies and procedures at all times. </li><li>Observe and assist in Stericycle procedures for program. </li><li>Clean bathrooms (toilets and shower) after each participant use. </li><li>Clean all furniture, surfaces, pillows, mattresses, and other program appliances after each participant use. </li><li>Ensure dirty linens etc. are organized for laundry service delivery and output. </li><li>Maintain cleaning supplies in secured manner. </li><li>Identifies and reports any problems in regard to maintenance, health, safety or security of the property to the Assistant Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager. </li><li>Follow a schedule of preventative cleaning duties as needed. </li><li>Prepare written reports on maintenance issues as requested. </li><li>May assist in responding to crises (e.g. conflict) and overdose with crisis de-escalation interventions and Narcan. </li><li>Chaperone on-site food service and other onsite services. </li><li>May be required to work nights and weekends. </li></ul> <p>Administrative Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Attend internal program staff meetings, clinical, and administrative supervision including regular shift meetings and various ad hoc meetings. </li><li>Along with the team, take ownership to ensure the overall quality of customer and health services at program. </li><li>Participate in ongoing trainings on harm reduction, Narcan use, drug and alcohol use/intoxication/withdrawal, motivational interviewing, customer service, trauma-informed care, team-based care, and other related topics. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education, Certification, and Experience</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>HS Diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Experience working successfully with diverse populations specifically with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiency. </li><li>Experience working with people who use drugs and people experiencing homelessness. </li><li>First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment. </li><li>CPR Certified within 30 days of employment. </li></ul> <p>Desired:</p> <ul> <li>We value lived experience of homelessness, illicit drug use, and alcohol use. </li></ul> <p>Background Clearance</p> <ul> <li>Must complete a background check and livescan. </li><li>Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including booster shot). </li><li>Must be able to pass health screening and TB test. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures including sanitation. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Ability, willingness, and sensitivity to work with diverse population. </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>In an 8-hr workday, employee is required to perform work:</p> <p>Sitting</p> <p>1 hrs</p> <p>Walking</p> <p>4 hrs</p> <p>Standing</p> <p>3 hr</p> <p>Driving</p> <p>Occasionally</p>
