Work hours may be determined by manager and employee.</p> <p>WORK STATUS: Classified- Essential Personnel, Exempt</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Custodial and Maintenance Supervisor</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>Responsible for the overall maintenance program, including all district systems and facilities. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains or supervises the maintenance, installation and repair of all district electric equipment and electronic systems. </li><li>Maintains or supervises the maintenance, installation, and repair of all district plumbing systems. </li><li>Maintains or supervises the maintenance, installation, and repair of all district kitchen equipment. </li><li>Maintains or supervises the maintenance, installation, and repair of all district HVAC equipment and systems. </li><li>Performs or supervises a variety of functions related to general building repairs and maintenance. </li><li>Supervises, schedules and directs work, provides training, and manages day to day activities of maintenance personnel. </li><li>Maintains district preventative maintenance program. </li><li>Operates Metasys and Maximo automated building environmental and maintenance computer system. </li><li>Manages district equipment inventory. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY DUTIES:</p> <p>None</p> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or G.E.D. </li><li>Two years in mechanical and building maintenance skilled trades </li><li>Two years supervisory experience prefered </li><li>HVAC/R </li><li>Computer </li><li>Electronics/electrical Systems </li><li>Plumbing </li><li>Welding </li><li>Carpentry </li><li>Blueprints/Wiring diagrams </li><li>Hand/power/shop tools </li><li>Testing equipment </li><li>General maintenance equipment and machinery </li><li>Effective communication </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Two years trade school or Associate Degree </li><li>Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. </li></ul> <p>GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Is flexible and adaptable to change </li><li>Has the ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and co-workers </li><li>Maintains a positive attitude </li><li>Observes all district policies and procedures </li><li>Supports the Sheridan School District Strategic Plan </li></ul> <p>LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Colorado Driver's License </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions required the following physical demands: Frequent lifting 5 to 20 pounds, occasional lifting 20 to over 50 pounds, frequent bending, squatting, standing, reaching, walking, kneeling, crawling, stooping, occasional sitting</p> <p>ESSENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>Noise; dirt and dust; odors and fumes; hazardous materials or situations; temperature extremes; occasionally clean and comfortable</p> <p>This description is not intended, and should not be construed, to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this job.
