<p>Job Title: Ab Initio Developer</p> <p>Location: Addison, TX/ Irving, TX /Minneapolis, MN/Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)</p> <p>Duration: 12 months contract with potential to extend</p> <p>Only on W2</p> <p>Pay range: $57-$60/HR on W2</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>Our Fortune 500 client, a leader in the financial services industry, is looking for Ab Initio Developer to join their team in multiple locations.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <ul> <li>Experienced in developing and supporting Ab Initio and Teradata based complex Data Warehousing applications as well as the ability to upskill to open source based modern technologies. </li><li>Should have expertise in full SDLC for Data Management apps and be able to debug production issues and drive incident calls with hands on approach towards resolution. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Strong and Hands-on development experience with various Ab Initio components (like GDE, Express>It, Conduct>It, Continuous>Flows, Metadata Hub, EME, PDL/Meta-programming etc.) </li><li>Good working experience on generic graphs, parallelism techniques and with all components of Ab Initio such as Scan, join, Partition by key, Partition by Round Robin, Gather, Merge, Interleave, Lookup etc. </li><li>Experience and expertise in Teradata, PL/SQL and Unix shell scripting. </li><li>Financial services experience is a plus and data warehousing experience is required. </li><li>The candidate should have a very strong technical experience in the areas of data analysis, database design and ETL. </li><li>Strong technical experience in Design (Mapping specifications, HLD, LLD), Development (Coding, Unit testing) using Ab Initio </li><li>Must have the ability to relate to both business and technical members of the team and possess excellent communication skills </li><li>Proactively notify risks, bottlenecks, problems, issues, and concerns, and plan upon remediation of these </li><li>Work closely with Quality Control teams to deliver quality software to agreed project schedules. </li></ul> <p>In this contingent resource assignment, candidate may:</p> <ul> <li>Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables. </li><li>Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. </li><li>Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. </li><li>Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>4 plus years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Teradata </li><li>5+ years SQL experience </li><li>ab initio </li><li>Apache Spark </li><li>Oracle/Teradata </li><li>Spark </li><li>SQL/Teradata </li><li>2+ years of unit testing / code review in SAS </li><li>Experience performing QA & UAT </li><li>Agile SDLC </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $57 - $60/HR on W2</p> <p>The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
