We strive to create an inclusive work environment that fosters respect and dignity for all.</p> <p>25-26 District-Wide Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)</p> <p>Start date: August 26, 2025 with orientation days prior</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Associates Degree Required; Bachelor's Degree Preferred </li><li>Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Allied Health Professionals licensure </li><li>Experience as a PTA in a school setting </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills </li><li>Excellent organizational skills </li><li>Technology experience </li></ul> <p>JOB GOAL/PURPOSE: This position provides direct services to students based on IEP goals and services. Consult and supervision is provided by a Physical Therapist.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Building Principal and/or Director of Special Education</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITY:</p> <ul> <li>Provide students with direct services with consultation and supervision by Physical Therapist. May include: lifting, transferring, positioning, using adaptive equipment, toileting, setting up positioning devices, as well as assisting and supporting during activities. </li><li>Collects and maintains data on student progress per the IEP goals as well as direct logs of therapy services. </li><li>Completes Medicaid requirements. </li><li>Participate in the development of student's Individual Education Program (IEP) with direct supervision of Physical Therapist. </li><li>Assist teachers and other special education staff in the development and implementation of curriculum accommodations/modifications and appropriate classroom strategies as determined by the Team process and subsequent IEP formulation with direct supervision by Physical Therapist. </li><li>Provide information to parents and guardians of students of direct services as needed. </li><li>Maintain compliance of regulations of Individualized Education Program development, team meetings, Medicaid billing, and progress reports. </li><li>Keep abreast of new information, innovative ideas and techniques in the field. </li><li>Perform other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by a supervisor </li></ul> <p>and/or designee.</p> <p>PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Experience in school settings.</p> <p>Safety-Care trained preferred</p> <p>Experience with ABA principles/methodology preferred.</p> <p>Applications will be considered when submitted via our online application system with POWERSCHOOL UNIFIED TALENT.
