Here, you will work alongside a passionate and dedicated team, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.</p> <p>The Pharmacy Technician - Ambulatory, Part Time supports a high-volume outpatient pharmacy at Main Campus (JJ Building/Euclid Ave), one of four retail pharmacies on campus processing approximately 1,100 prescriptions per day. This role rotates through multiple workstations, including register, prescription preparation, data entry and insurance processing, and inventory management (cycle counts, restocking, and ordering). Technicians also provide customer service to patients, providers, and care teams, contributing to efficient and accurate pharmacy operations in a fast-paced environment. This setting is best suited for individuals with prior pharmacy experience.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position will work part-time rotating shifts every week, rotating between 6:45am and 3:15pm, 8:30am and 5:00pm, 10:00am and 6:30pm or 11:45am and 8:15pm. Further requirements include weekends (every 8-9th) and holidays (every 3 years) on rotation.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the pharmacist in an ambulatory/outpatient setting. </li><li>Prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients. </li><li>Maintain inventory for the outpatient pharmacy. </li><li>Assist with extemporaneous compounding of prescriptions and bulk compounding of prescriptions and over the counter items. </li><li>Operate the point-of-sale cash register system. </li><li>Monitor and act on reorder points, restock prescription and non-prescription area and remove expiring products. </li><li>Provide multi-pharmacy support in assigned areas as needed. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED </li></ul> <p>Must meet all of the following license and certification combination requirements at the time of application:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR the National HealthCareer Association (NHA) </li><li>AND it is required to hold an active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee. If certified but current status with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) is Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee it is required to update registration status to a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the OBOP within six months of hire. </li><li>Please note: A status as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee with OBOP does not qualify for this role. However, please visit the apprenticeship program to express interest: https://talentcommunity.clevelandclinic.org/campaign/apprentiship-programs/ ) </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Six months of hospital experience </li><li>Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing, reaching, stretching, stooping, and sitting for prolonged times; manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 20 lbs. while walking, stooping, bending and reaching. </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $21.50</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $31.00</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).</p>
