<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Performs duties in the installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signal electrical systems. Performs field maintenance, including replacement of obsolete or damaged cabinets and controllers and the repair of detector loops. Oversees and performs preventative maintenance and inventory management of the signal shop with limited supervision. Leads field duties related to preventative maintenance checks on traffic signal equipment. Performs duties in the maintenance and repair of the building's electrical system. Provides/Assists with crew scheduling in the absence of Traffic Signal Technician Ill or Traffic Signal Technician IV. Assists with emergency and inclement weather operations and may be required to work 12-hour or rotating shift if needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>A high school diploma and one and one-half (1.5) year of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required. Requires attainment of a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six (6) months of placement in the position.</p> <p>The physical demands for the essential functions involves bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and grasping. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Walking for extended periods, treading rough terrain, working in close proximity to motoring traffic, and in natural environmental hazards.
