<p>Job Title: Electrical Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to plan, manage, and coordinate engineering design work. This role involves applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for electrical loads. The engineer will assist in preparing technical proposals and pricing for engineered orders, interpret customer specifications, and develop solutions with cost estimates. Additionally, the engineer will design and develop high-performance products, manage design packages, and generate necessary test procedures and manuals.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate engineering responses and action plans. </li><li>Work as part of a project team to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable designs. </li><li>Support the maintenance of documentation via engineering change procedures. </li><li>Assist Sales with technical proposals and pricing. </li><li>Support Sales in making sales calls and customer contacts. </li><li>Interpret customer-supplied specifications, drawings, and one-line diagrams for solution development. </li><li>Design and develop the best cost/performance product. </li><li>Manage design packages to the Drafting department. </li><li>Generate test procedures and manuals required with the product. </li><li>Collaborate with Assembly, Procurement, and field technicians during build, test, or startup to resolve issues. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. </li><li>3+ years of experience in developing and creating new products in the electromechanical products space. </li><li>Experience with OEM electrical design activities, preferably in power design, generation, distribution, or protection. </li><li>Experience working with industrial equipment. </li><li>Knowledge working with ERP systems. </li><li>Experience with power conversion, electrical systems, switch gear, utility, electrical construction, substation, generators. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience designing in the electrical testing space. </li><li>Experience designing to UL, CSA, NEC, and other safety agency requirements. </li><li>Knowledge of industrial controls/communication protocols and electrical testing. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The role is based in a newly renovated office close to the manufacturing facility.
