<p>Posting Number 0801815 Classification Title Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing Working Title Department College Of Business & Industry Department Contact Email mreid@centralstate.edu Job Summary/Basic Function</p> <p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Assistant/Associate Professor is expected to provide students instruction, advising, curriculum development, program design, and lead/conduct research activities including published articles/books.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Teach courses as assigned. The minimum teaching load is twenty-four credit hours annually. Courses are delivered face-to-face, online, and hybrid. </li><li>Maintain required office hours and provide academic advisement to assigned students. </li><li>Participate in the development, review and improvement of curriculum. </li><li>Participate in departmental, college-wide, university-wide, committees and activities. Serve as faculty advisor for a student organization. </li><li>Work collaboratively with other faculty on schedule development, marketing events, student and faculty recruitment, retention efforts, and other departmental or college-wide activities. Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in marketing with industry experience and/or relevant industry certifications </li><li>Considerable professional experience in the discipline at a high managerial or supervisory level </li><li>Commitment to teaching excellence, innovative curriculum development, and academic advising for students in the college and major </li><li>Willingness to teach at both the main campus, online, and local CSU locations </li><li>Demonstrate potential for developing publishable research </li><li>Experience and interest in teaching students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds </li><li>Ability to use technology in instruction and gain certifications in online instruction </li><li>Advising, mentoring, and coaching students to successfully meet program outcomes </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Ph.D or earned doctorate in related discipline </li><li>Experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in Marketing </li><li>Experience in developing and teaching online courses </li><li>Demonstrated ability to generate grant proposals </li><li>A record of published research in peer-reviewed journals </li></ul> <p>Posting Date 04/13/2026 Closing Date Open Until Filled Yes Special Instructions to Applicants</p> <p>All offer of employment at Central State University are contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check.
