Longevity pay after 3 years.</p> <p>BENEFITS OFFERED: Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance; Free LTD Insurance; Free Health Clinic; Retirement Pension; 14 Paid Holidays annually; Generous Paid Vacation and Sick Time</p> <p>POSITION TO BE FILLED: ASAP</p> <p>HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm with overtime as needed</p> <p>LOCATION OF POSITION: Goshen</p> <p>TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Within County (please complete driving page on application)</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Responsible for maintaining all vehicles and heavy equipment and responding to mechanical needs in the field.</p> <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>Must be at least 18 years of age </li><li>Possession of and ability to maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements and demonstrated safe driving record </li><li>Respond to after-hours mechanical problems, per on call schedule </li><li>Practical knowledge of assigned Department equipment and vehicles, with ability to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose problems, and repair equipment as needed </li><li>Ability to operate a variety of hand and/or power tools and variety of equipment in performance of duties </li><li>Ability to do light snow removal </li><li>Ability to work alone with minimum supervision, with others in a team environment, work rapidly for long periods and on several tasks at a time, often under time pressure </li><li>Pre-employment background check (criminal and credit), and drug screen </li></ul> <p>Elkhart County Human Resources</p> <p>117 N.
